Anti-imperial Trauma Therapy
314-806-3557
Hey there, I’m a trauma therapist who believes healing and care shouldn’t be a luxury. Some might even call me a therapist’s therapist.
If you’ve found your way here, I’m really glad you did. Healing is hard, and what people can survive and grow through is profound. You don’t have to do it alone.
Kismet Therapy exists to make that healing more accessible. This space includes therapy, resources, creative work, and a collective of practitioners committed to care that challenges systems, not just symptoms.
Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, whether it’s your first time in therapy or you’re returning. But being here is already a meaningful step.
I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a Master of Public Health, and I’ve been practicing since 2019. I am trained in EMDR. My background includes crisis intervention and suicide prevention, hospice work, and clinical program management. These experiences continue to shape how I hold space for complexity, grief, and change.
I work primarily with clients navigating trauma, burnout, and identity, especially those who have been in therapy before but struggled to connect with more traditional approaches. My practice tends to resonate with people who are looking for something deeper, more relational, and a little outside the box.
I am more direct than gentle in my style. This means I will be honest with you, engaged in the process, and collaborative in helping you notice patterns and shifts, while still moving at a pace that feels manageable.
My approach blends evidence-based therapy with a decolonial, anti-capitalist lens. We will not just look at what is “wrong” with you. We will also explore what has happened to you, and the systems shaping your experience.
I integrate IFS, EMDR, somatic interventions, and talk therapy because healing is not just cognitive, it is embodied. I move between bottom-up approaches, which focus on the nervous system and body, and top-down approaches, which focus on insight and meaning-making. I meet you where you are rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all process.
This work is especially meaningful for folks untangling people-pleasing patterns, learning how to listen to themselves, and building lives that are not organized around others’ expectations.
My practice is virtual, and I work with clients located in Missouri, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, and Illinois. I accept both insurance and private pay.
I may not be the best fit if you are looking for highly structured, skills-based approaches like DBT, or if you are not interested in curiosity-driven, insight-oriented work. That said, if you are open to exploring your inner world and engaging the process in a deeper way, we will likely work well together.
Together, we work toward something beyond survival, a life that feels more spacious, intentional, and yours.
If this resonates, you are welcome to reach out. We can start with a consultation and see if it feels like a good fit.
